Flecker Gallery hosts high school art exhibition at Suffolk County Community College

Suffolk County Community College's Flecker Gallery will host a High School Art Exhibition from March 24 to April 4, 2025. The exhibition aims to showcase the artistic talent of high school students from Suffolk County. An award ceremony is scheduled for March 27 from 5-7 p.m., with awards being announced at 5 p.m.

The exhibition will feature various categories, including best of show and awards for the best in 2D, 3D, and digital art. Participating schools include Bayport Blue Point, Bell Port, Centereach, Comsewogue, Connetquot, East Islip, Earl L. Vandermeulen, Hauppauge, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Anthony’s, Longwood, Miller Place, Mt. Sinai, Newfield, Patchogue-Medford, Rocky Point, Sachem East, Sachem North, Sayville, Shoreham Wading River, Smithtown and Ward Melville.

Students from grades nine through twelve can submit their work across various mediums such as painting, photography collage drawing sculpture digital art and time-based media. Department chairs and art teachers are encouraged to collaborate with students in selecting their strongest works for submission.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional appointments available upon request. For further details contact the Flecker Gallery at 631-451-4093.

Suffolk County Community College is noted as the largest community college within the State University of New York (SUNY) system enrolling over 21 thousand students across more than one hundred degree and certificate programs.
