Students from Moriches Elementary School's 4th and 5th-grade choir recently performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" before a Stony Brook Seawolves women's basketball game against Delaware. The performance was directed by Mrs. Jessica Salaway and Mr. Zachary Carrillo.

Stony Brook University collaborated with the Moriches fifth graders to facilitate a fundraising effort during the game. A portion of the ticket sales was donated by the Seawolves to support the fifth graders' annual end-of-year field trip to Broadway, where they will watch the musical Aladdin.

The students also participated in Stony Brook's "fan tunnel," exchanging high fives with players and coaches as they headed to the court. This event was significant for the students and their families and highlighted the district's music program.

Recognition was given to Stony Brook University for their support of William Floyd students, and congratulations were extended to the Moriches Elementary School choir for their performance.
