Women's Recognition Awards announced for 2025 by Supervisor Daniel J. Panico

Supervisor Daniel J. Panico has announced the recipients of the 2025 Women's Recognition Awards. These awards will be presented at the 39th Annual Women's Recognition Night, scheduled for March 20 at Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville. The event is organized by the Town's Office of Women's Services, Department of General Services, and is open to the public.

Community members nominated individuals who either live or work in Brookhaven and have shown excellence in various fields. The selection was made by members of Brookhaven's Women's Advisory Board based on resumes and letters of recommendation.

The award recipients are as follows:

- Business: Mary Beth Lichtneger from Center Moriches

- Communications: Lily Stolzberg from Miller Place

- Community Services Professional: Jennifer Hernandez from Mount Sinai

- Community Service Volunteer: Debra L. Engelhardt from Wading River

- Education: Leah Topek-Walker from Patchogue

- Government: Leslie A. Mitchel from Port Jefferson

- Health Care Provider: Christina Burke, PT, DPT, NCS from Great River/Stony Brook Medicine

- Law Enforcement: Megan O’Donnell from Calverton/District Attorney’s Office

- Legal Profession: Stephanie A. Buffa, Esq. from East Setauket

- Medicine: Dr. Rachel Davis from Roslyn/Stony Brook Medicine

- Science: Dr. Gabriella Carini from Port Jefferson

In addition to these awards, special commendations were given by members of the Town Board:

- Supervisor Daniel J. Panico awarded Annette Eaderesto, Esq., from Brookhaven.

- Councilman Jonathan Kornreich recognized Dr. Jennifer Quinn from East Setauket.

- Councilwoman Jane Bonner honored Bea Ruberto from Sound Beach.

- Councilman Neil A. Manzella commended Linda Miller from Selden.

- Councilman Michael A. Loguercio awarded Isabella Rossellini from Brookhaven.

- Councilman Neil Foley recognized Mary Bailey from Blue Point.

- Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig honored Maura Spery from Mastic.
