Dress for Success Brookhaven is preparing to launch its free Career EDGE Job Readiness series on April 23. This program targets unemployed and under-employed women, offering them the chance to develop professional skills and enhance their job search efforts. The series will consist of weekly training sessions, individual career coaching, and networking opportunities, and it will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm every Wednesday until May 21, 2025. The venue for these sessions is the Sachem Library at 150 Holbrook Road, Holbrook, NY.

According to Dress for Success Brookhaven, the Career EDGE Job Readiness program is "a seminar series for women seeking employment" and aims to provide a platform for women to interact with professionals and expert speakers. The program is free of charge and focuses on preparing women to "make a move and get the right job."

Participants will engage in activities designed to increase job application knowledge, develop a personal brand, and enhance networking skills. The program offers a tailored resume-building session, interview preparation, and a Dress for Success professional suiting experience. LinkedIn and other networking tool exploration is also included, alongside a supportive community experience.

Women interested in joining this program can register at BrookhavenNY.gov/CareerEdge. Dress for Success Brookhaven stresses that "space is limited," so they recommend early registration. For more information, inquiries can be directed to their email or phone number at 631-451-9127.
