Brookhaven Animal Shelter announces Halloween parade with free adoptions
The Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center has announced its 2024 "Howl-o-ween Doggie Costume Parade" scheduled for Saturday, October 27, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The event invites children to attend in costume, ready for "Trick or Treating" and taking photos with "costumed canines." Attendees can expect to see a Husky dressed as a Frog Princess, a "Bulldog Banana Split," and a Yorkie Pumpkin among the participants. These adoptable dogs are expected to be the highlight of the event.

Brookhaven Animal Shelter featured in Oktoberfest event on September 28
On September 28, the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be featured during Oktoberfest at the Millhouse Inn, located at 284 Mill Road in Yaphank. Doors open at 12:00 noon. Visitors can meet dogs available for adoption, obtain Matchmaker Forms, get volunteer information, and make donations to help care for the animals at the shelter. Guests will enjoy food, drinks, music, and more.

Farmingville, NY – On August 20, Councilwoman Jane Bonner met with Coram Civic Association President Kareem Nugdalla and local residents James and Jessica Fanning, along with their children Jack and Penelope and cousin Alicia Cordner, at the new Diamond in the Pines Park playground. Located at 1921 Route 112 in Coram, the park features ball fields, benches, chairs, a gazebo, a multi-purpose field, a playground, restrooms, trails and more.
